Our Individual Lessons offer personal, one-on-one support for kids in PreK through 3rd grade. Each lesson is custom designed to meet them right where they are. Using engaging, hands-on activities, we build the skills that matter most in reading and spelling, helping your child feel proud of every little victory.

About Our Lessons
Initial Student Evaluation
Before beginning our Individual Lessons, every child takes part in a FREE Initial Student Evaluation. This gentle, low-pressure assessment helps us get to know your child’s strengths and identify areas where they may need extra support. Using this information, we create personalized learning goals that guide our one-on-one sessions.
During the evaluation, we’ll explore key skills like phonological awareness, recognizing letter sounds, reading high-frequency words, decoding (reading), and encoding (writing). This gives us a full picture of your child’s needs so we can help them build confidence and skills every step of the way.
Virtual & In-Person Availability
We understand that flexibility matters. That’s why we offer both virtual and in-person lesson options—so you can choose what works best for your child and family’s routine. Let us know your preference, and we’ll find a schedule that suits your family’s needs perfectly!

What Do Virtual Lessons Look Like?
Our virtual Individual Lessons bring a lively, interactive learning experience straight to your home! We know life can be busy, so we’ve crafted our virtual lessons to be both convenient and impactful. Your child will have their own personalized dashboard and access to a Virtual Lesson Kit sent right to your door—everything they need to make learning exciting and effective, right through the screen!
Virtual Lesson Dashboard
Each student has access to their own dashboard, where they can explore regularly updated expansion games and activities!
Virtual Lesson Kit
To support the virtual learning experience, we mail a Virtual Lesson Kit directly to your home. This kit includes all the materials your child will need for their lessons, so they’re fully prepared and can make the most of their time online.
Boddle Game Classroom
As part of our virtual lessons, students gain access to Vermont Literacy Network’s Boddle game classroom. This fun and interactive platform features monthly assignments and educational games that make learning enjoyable and help reinforce important skills in a playful way.
Tuition Rates & Billing
We’re dedicated to making top-notch literacy programs available to all families at affordable rates, so every child has the chance to succeed. While we don’t currently offer scholarships for Individual Lessons, we’re working hard to make this possible in the near future!
LOCAL LEARNERS DISCOUNT
Bristol, Starksboro, Monkton, New Haven, Middlebury, Ripton, and Lincoln residents are eligible to receive a monthly 10% discount on lesson tuition!

Billing occurs monthly for prepayment of the following month before the first. Invoices will be sent out to families via email roughly a week before the first of the month. Payment must be completed in full before lessons begin.

Lessons are booked on a first-come, first-served basis, and some time slots may no longer be available by the time you reach out.
