About Books & Barks by Yoga
Books & Barks by Yoga is a merchandise collection founded by two Vermont Literacy Network students, Geoff and Xander. These brothers have been working hard on persuasive writing and the art of convincing through a variety of different projects. To demonstrate their understanding of persuasion, they - with help from their dog, Yoga - created a line of shirts that both support the nonprofit organization, Passion for Paws, and share their love of Yoga. All designs, advertisements, and other promotional efforts were created by Geoff and Xander. 
"Book & Barks by Yoga is line of high quality merchandise that donates half of the proceeds to Passion 4 Paws. Passion 4 Paws is a foster-based, dog rescue in Shelburne, Vermont that helps dogs that are abandoned or abused, and finds them homes – just like Yoga! 
Before we got Yoga, he was being fostered with his mom. At that time, his name was Turner. We went and met a bunch of dogs at the shelter, but none of them were right for us. We did not go home with a dog at first. Geoff was the saddest he had ever been. So, Mommy went on the internet and found that he had just turned six-weeks old. He was finally old enough to get adopted! He was being snuggled and loved while waiting for us to pick him up. When he got home, he jumped and was very happy. We cuddled him, gave him treats, and named him Yoga becuase every time he wakes up, he does the downward dog yoga position. Yoga was super excited to see our house. We were very happy and excited that Yoga was home." - Geoff & Xander
